Interior Architecture and Spatial Planning
The first objective for any residential refurbishment project we undertake is to understand how you live in order to maximise the space in which you live.
From here, we can then provide detailed floor plan solutions, setting out consideration for electrical, lighting, plumbing, home automation, cabinetry and furniture.
2D & 3D Dimensional Rendering
Once optimisation of the floorplan is achieved, we build upwards with 2d and 3d renders of the elevations in order for you to see exactly what your rooms will look like.
Bespoke Joinery Design and Manufacture
At the rendering stage of the design process we would have set out the joinery requirements in both 2 and 3 dimensional visualizations, in order to present both the detailed measurements and the aesthetic intent of the joinery.
We are proud to boast our own in-house 4000 sq ft joinery workshop, which enables us to dictate the highest level of craftsmanship and finish quality on our projects.
Specification of Fixtures, Fittings and Finish’s
With any refurbishment, there are always a lot of decisions to make, which can be daunting, especially if the project is already underway.
In order to avoid compromises to finish, design and budget we at DTQ Designs would always agree a detailed specification for fixture, fittings and finishes prior to commencement of any works.
It is our firm belief that time spent in the planning is time saved on site.
Project Management
It is a tall order to deliver a project on time, to cost and to the highest standards, without a substantial background knowledge of the building process and of the associated trades needed to execute the design intent.
Too often, we have seen beautiful concepts fail in execution, due a fundamental lack of understanding of the actual activity taking place on site.
To identify areas that may cause potential delays, and/or compromises to finish, in order to implement quick and effective counter-measures, is very hard for a project manager who has no trade experience and no closely associated trade partners.
At DTQ Designs we are, first and foremost, master craftsmen and artisans. Not only have we been designing and manufacturing products of distinction for a combined total of 150 years, we also carry out installations of these products for architects, designers and developers.
We have seen firsthand why projects succeed and why they fail and we lever this experience in bringing beautifully finished projects in on time and on budget.
